Muzzle Flash Detector
The Muzzle Reference Sight (MRS) is an electro
optical system to be mounted on main battle tank.
The MRS unit is mainly used for ascertaining the
changes in the angular position of the muzzle end
of the gun tube of a tank relative to the breach of
the gun tube and it will automatically compensate
the e
the effect by taking into account the error to ballistic
angle as the round exits the muzzle
Muzzle Flash is used for triggering the other devices like: Camera, Radar, etc.
Trigger signal is generated from muzzle flash coming out firing of explosives.
Detector has ruggedized aluminum body & long range signal strength (via signal cable) so it can be kept close (at a safety distance) to the firing range
